Macau, I’m hatin’ it!

Pittoresque Portuguese buildings and a colonial atmosphere combined with a strip full of casinos. That was what John and I were thinking when we left busy Hong Kong for Macau. At least we got one part right, the casinos. Some of them up and running (like crazy), others still in the scaffolds.

Usually I am not this negative about places I travel to and through, but Macau definitely is a disappointment. It’s like Hong Kong, only then dotted with the occasional Portuguese colonial building.

For those travelers who told you they loved Macau; they probably went to the McDonalds there for the “I’m lovin’ it!” experience… ;-)

  1. Jammer dat jullie eerste dagen tegenvallen! Aan de andere kant kan het alleen maar beter worden hierna he ;-) . Wat is trouwens het verhaal achter die foto van jou op een soort geel gevaarte met een Japans mensje?
