So far our first babysteps into Japan have been more than pleasant. Very very very friendly and service oriented people, delicious food, but even more important…..amazingly striking diverse and beautiful women!
After a late night arrival on the 5th the next day was all about doing our laundry and chilling by walking around the city of Fukuoka. It is a clean modern city with wide streets and walkways.
To get the Japan party going John and I went to a boat racing stadium filled with people betting. Too bad the races were only to be seen on huge screens since these ones were held somewhere else in Japan. It seems like there will be no betting at all for us this trip (remember us missing the horse races in Hong Kong).
During our walk downtown we went through parks (were the businessmen were drinking beers) and paid a quick visit to the Apple store, were John had to be restrained from spending all of our travelbudget on goodies like the newest iPod Touch (way more cheap over here then back home!) and some flashy notebooks…
Then we went to a huge shopping mall called Canal City which, how appropriately, had a small canal running through the mall. At the mall some band was playing. According to John their equipment was really expensive and they were playing very well. Even though I`m pretty much oblivious of what`s hot or not or `good` or `bad`, I also thought they were rocking the joint!
After some quick bite to eat we went for a movie called Perfect Stranger in the huge cinema in Canal City. Not spectacular movie, but nevertheless always entertaining to mix with the Japanese in their day-2-day life.
Our next stop in Nagasaki, the city were the second nuclear bomb was dropped in WWII and were the Dutch had a trading post back in the good old days
