From Nagasaki back to Holland

John and I arrived just in time in Nagasaki to join the festivities of the Kunchi festival there. Too bad our stay there was cut short, because of an urgent call from the Netherlands from Queen Beatrix. She wanted us to visit her at Huis Ten Bosch (c) to discuss the Japanese violation of copyright on the whole Dutch country. After our visit of Huis Ten Bosch in Japan we reported our findings to the Queen. No worries about any over the top copycat practices. The Japanese didn`t copy our Red Light District, our coffeeshops, our streetbums, our traffic jams, or our loitering youth. Although we didn`t mind the omission of the last four Dutch `famous` features, we were definitely disappointed about the first one.

Even more impressive than the full-scale copying of Dutch landmarks is the Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum. It`s impossible to even try and describe it in words… Both John and I were subdued the whole time we were there and for quite some time after. A must see!

Our next stop will be Aso National Park.
