After our moments of glory on CMT John and I went up to Salt Lake City to check out the scene. Although at first I didn’t think it would be anything special, the city (and its surrounding area) turned out to have one nice surprise after another.
A quick runthrough…
Temple Square, headquarters of The Church of Jesus Christ and the Latter-Day Saints (aka Mormon Church aka LDS Church) and home of the sweet sounds of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir
Utah Olympic Park, site of the Winter Olympics of 2002
Bonneville Salt Flats Speedway, a racing track on salt flats where some major land speed records have been set

Smith and Edwards, war surplus for those wanting to take on a small hostile nation

And finally a high speed police chase in which John and I were literally within a few inches of our lives when we almost got hit by a fugitive in a car racing away from an unmarked police car with sirens blaring and lights on top.
